Finally, spring is on its way. For artist and herbalist Michelle Wallace, new green life means a whole new arsenal of colors, shapes and textures. Using foraged flora as guide and inspiration, she constructs “nature mandalas,” kaleidoscopic circular patterns that she keeps just long enough to snap a picture. A collection of these images is
currently on view at Hunger Mountain Co-op in Montpelier. “This impermanent art is a meditation on really noticing the plants throughout the seasons — their exquisite details
