    You have to be a seriously decent skier to enjoy skiing the lift line. That's the run directly under a ski lift, providing an audience to admire your skill or witness your wipeouts. The stakes are high, but Matt Grant doesn't mind. One of his favorite runs is the Madonna lift line at Smugglers' Notch Resort, a double black diamond touted by the resort as some of the most difficult terrain in the East.
