While her first two records focused on the frustrations and growing pains of young adulthood, Crutchfield’s latest suggests a more mature worldview, one in which she’s content to let go of the things she can’t control. Bathed in a shimmering pool of guitars, keyboards and drum machines, Crutchfield offers her most self-assured, affecting and sonically dynamic material to date.
