Moonface, which is the musical alter-ego of songwriter Spencer Krug, moves around a lot. In recent years he’s called such far-flung locales as Montréal, Helskinki and Vancouver Island home. So, naturally, his most recent EP, City Wrecker, is all about places. It’s a moody and, well, moving five-song suite concerned with coming and going, promise and disillusionment and, as Krug writes, “ducking out early from your own farewell party.” On Sunday, August 30, Moonface visits the Monkey House in Winooski. But he probably won’t stay long. Montréal/Burlington-based ghost-folk band Nighttime opens.
