To record their recently released third album, Country Agenda, Alex Bleeker & the Freaks retreated to a coastal California setting. The collaboratively written record reflects those bucolic surroundings, unwinding like a lazy Sunday jaunt along US 1. It’s a serene work, with nods to the gentle twang of the Grateful Dead — a favorite of front man Bleeker, who is also the bass player for New Jersey indie band Real Estate. Alex Bleeker & the Freaks play the Monkey House in Winooski on Sunday, November 15.
