Weston Playhouse New Works Festival

Three new theater works in three different stages of development written by three award-winning women are in the spotlight during the Weston Playhouse New Works Festival. Over two weekends, this first annual fest offers multiple opportunities to hear and respond to works in progress. Presented as a fully staged workshop production, Molly Regan’s (pictured) The Accidental Curator addresses the challenges that come with inheriting family keepsakes. Theater, poetry and music meld in Judith Sloan’s Yo Miss!, a humorous and heart-wrenching show about immigrant and refugee teens. In its first-ever reading, Kait Kerrigan’s Father/Daughter examines how the relationships people inherit impact the relationships they choose. Visit westonplayhouse.org for the full schedule.
