Los Angeles native Jennifer Lee grew up learning classical piano. A naturally inquisitive and restless child, she found her interests soon wandering beyond Bach and Beethoven. She would later employ that musical curiosity as Tokimonsta to create punishing hurricanes of sound by blending elements of electronic production with live instrumentation and banging beats. Tokimonsta plays the Higher Ground Ballroom in South Burlington on Tuesday, October 7. Made in Heights open.
