The Vermont Highland Games

Can I kilt it? Yes, you can — at Highland Center for the Arts in Greensboro, where the annual Vermont Highland Games conjure Celtic culture. Guests donning their finest tartan and plaid are whisked across the pond to an ancient world of bagpipes and clans with authentic performances and activities. Live music by local outfits such as the Catamount Pipe Band, Prydein and Rowan enhance a diverse lineup including kilt making, whiskey tasting, Gaelic language lessons, and Scottish country and step dancing. (On second thought, maybe leave that wool garb at home!) No matter your family crest, it’s sure to be a craickin’ good time.

These community event listings are sponsored by the WaterWheel Foundation, a project of the Vermont band Phish.
