Hell Bent
Mining the sounds of ’60s vocal pop and surf-adjacent garage rock, She-Devils are a blast from the past. But rather than creating a simple retro pastiche, the Montréal duo boldly takes on the golden era of pop with tweaked-out synths and gobs of reverb. For their psychedelic self-titled debut EP in 2016, the She-Devils cobbled together instrumental parts exclusively from vinyl samples. But for their inaugural 2017 full-length, also self-titled, they stepped up their studio chops with an arsenal of wholly original loops. Catch She-Devils on Saturday, April 21, at the Monkey House in Winooski. Locals Aspero Saicos, Famous Letter Writer and DJ Disco Phantom add support.
