Septeto Santiaguero

A concert by Cuban ensemble Septeto Santiaguero is an occasion for dancing. Since its inception in 1995, the band has been a champion of Cuban son music, a style known for featuring the guitar-like tres alongside infectious rhythms. A video for the group’s 2015 song “Hay un Run Run,” a collaboration with singer José “El Canario” Alberto, shows just how irresistible these numbers are, with dancers spinning and smiling across the floor. Music lovers practice their steps for a free outdoor performance on the Dartmouth College Green, which is sure to keep attendees on their feet.
