Rodney Crowell

Americana singer-songwriter Rodney Crowell’s latest album, Acoustic Classics, isn’t a typical greatest hits collection. For the 2018 offering, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer and longtime Emmylou Harris collaborator crafted stripped-down versions of favorites from his catalog spanning more than 40 years. Selections include the honky-tonkin’ “I Couldn’t Leave You if I Tried” and “Shame on the Moon Redux,” an earlier version of which Bob Seger took to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1983. Guitarist Joe Robinson and fiddle and mandolin whiz Eamon McLoughlin join the two-time Grammy Award winner for a pair of Green Mountain State gigs.
