NBC’s competitive reality series “Last Comic Standing” launched the careers of some of the most recognizable names in comedy. Amy Schumer, Ralphie May, Roy Wood Jr. and Season 8 winner Rod Man all gained fame after appearing on the program. The latter comic — often called simply Rod — delivers astute observations about the little things in life with a manic sense of wonderment. He spins thoughts on mall kiosks, dealing with the police and being raised by a single parent into hysterical wisecracks and one-liners. Rod Man performs Thursday through Saturday, June 21 through 23, at the Vermont Comedy Club in Burlington.
