Inspired by the #MeToo movement against sexual harassment and assault, speakers including a social justice advocate, a legislator, an eating-disorder-prevention expert and award-winning artists share their unique perspectives on the topic of women in power. This evening of lectures, titled Reclamation /ˌrekləˈmāSH(ə)n/ TALKS, is presented in conjunction with the Helen Day Art Center exhibit “Reclamation /ˌrekləˈmāSH(ə)n/,” which features images of women painted by women artists. Television and magazine writer Nell Scovell (pictured), whose credits include “Murphy Brown” and “Charmed,” is among the speakers seeking to spark deep community discussions on the impact of gender bias on women’s lives.
