If you grew up Jewish in the American South — as Louisville, Ky., native and standup comedian Raanan Hershberg did — you’d probably have a good sense of humor, too. Known for his one-man shows “Broke, High and Horny,” “Crying Behind 3D Glasses,” “Please Someone F**k Me” and “Self-Helpless,” Hershberg’s self-deprecating bits exaggerate and lampoon his insecurities. The New York City-based comic’s latest show, “Off the Grid,” hilariously chronicles the pain of being without his cellphone for a day. Perish the thought! Hershberg performs on Sunday, September 2, at the Vermont Comedy Club in Burlington.
