At Off Center for the Dramatic Arts in Burlington, new local entertainment company Steal Fire presents French playwright Jean-Paul Sartre’s 1944 existentialist drama No Exit … with a twist. As a trio of deceased strangers — played by William Wilder, Catherine Grace and Marielle Rousseau — toil together in their inescapable afterlife, onstage camera work by Chris Acosta fuses live theater with cinematography in real time. This cutting-edge production literally puts the three souls under the lens, providing intimate glimpses of their anguished introspections and revelations. As Sartre famously coined, “Hell is other people.”
