New Clothes is a feature film adaptation of a Hans Christian Andersen fable, reimagined by Vermont Suitcase Company. Shot in seven days in downtown Brattleboro, the film follows two penniless swindlers as they scheme their way into a royal palace to trick the Emperor and his court out of the clothes on their backs. Blending theatrical storytelling with scrappy, handmade aesthetics, the film marks the touring theatre company’s feature debut. A discussion with members of the creative team will follow the screening.
