Satellite Rock
Burlington’s MOONDOGS emerged from the University of
Vermont scene straddling the line between swampy, Ween-like psychedelic rock and
funk-driven jam-band grooves. Their 2022 debut, ACiD TeST, was largely a one-man show,
the work of singer-songwriter and guitarist Will Sturcke. Two years later, the band had
become a fixture on the Queen City live scene and dropped Trialogues, its first LP as a
proper quartet. Moondogs’ new album, Tides and Seasons, drops on Friday, May 15. To
celebrate, they’ll throw a release party the same evening at Radio Bean in Burlington. Local
trumpeter and composer CONNOR YOUNG provides support.
