Celebrate Independence Day in Vermont's Capital City with a full day of family-friendly activities, live music, food vendors, the Montpelier Mile road race, community parade, and fireworks. Family Fest takes place from 3:00–6:00 pm on the State House Lawn. The Montpelier Mile begins at 6:00 pm, followed by the parade at 6:15 pm. Enjoy a free concert by blues artists Dave Keller and Johnny Rawls from 7:00–9:00 pm before fireworks at 9:30 pm. Additional downtown activities, exhibits, and attractions take place throughout the day.
