Brattleboro Museum & Art Center presents a workshop with Ross Smart; children ages 8 to 12 use repurposed and recycled materials to build their own miniature ice shanties, in conjunction with current gallery exhibitions. On January 23, Smart shares examples of upcycled shanties and talks about how ice shanties are built and used. Participants reconvene on January 30 to share what they have created.
