Travel-hungry audiences can live vicariously through the Maine Outdoor Film Festival when it makes a tour stop in Stowe. Seven short flicks, all produced by filmmakers from New England and British Columbia, take viewers around the world and into the clouds. Subjects include trailblazing female kayakers in Chile, the enduring full moon traditions of Algonquin-speaking Indigenous communities, POC-led outdoor mentorship program Camping to Connect and a 73-year-old surfer who’s become a local legend in Los Angeles.
