Alasdair Fraser is one of the great Scottish fiddlers and a legendary interpreter of this rich and intricate tradition. When we fell hard for his son Galen Fraser’s new duo San Miguel Fraser we thought: what if we invited them both? How delighted we were when Alasdair said he couldn’t imagine anything better than playing on a double bill with Galen and his partner, María San Miguel. Galen and María’s music fuses the sounds of María’s native Castile with the Fraser family Celtic traditions. What a celebration of musical and family ties this will be!
