Kids Dig Mount Independence

Price included with admission
Do you wonder where the artifacts in our museum came from or how we know what things the soldiers used while living at Mount Independence in 1776? What objects can stay in the ground for 250 years and what objects decay? Join us to learn how archaeologists dig a site and answer these questions. Each participant will be able to take part in a simulated dig using real archaeology tools to "find" artifacts that soldiers used at Mount Independence in 1776. Children ages 6 to 12. Program runs from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.

These community event listings are sponsored by the WaterWheel Foundation, a project of the Vermont band Phish.
