In keeping with its mission to enrich the lives of individuals with paralysis through sport and recreation, the Kelly Brush Foundation has snapped up more than 475 pieces of adaptive sports equipment including monoskis, handcycles and sport wheelchairs. Athletes can contribute to the foundation’s efforts, which include promoting ski-racing safety, by spinning their wheels in the 12th annual Kelly Brush Ride to benefit the nonprofit organization. Active bodies take to bicycles and handcycles for this fully supported excursion through the Champlain Valley, beginning on the Middlebury College Campus and covering 20, 50 or 100 miles of ground. A post-ride barbecue, prizes and words from the foundation’s namesake reward participants.
