Northeast Kingdom native Jennifer Hartswick began playing music at age 4. By the time she was 20, the trumpeter and vocalist had recorded on two Phish albums and was invited to tour with the Trey Anastasio Band. While jazz is Hartswick’s main genre — Ella Fitzgerald is one of her biggest influences — she is also versed in the styles of soul, funk, pop and R&B, as heard on her multiple solo albums. KCP Presents welcomes Nashville-based Hartswick back to her old NEK stomping grounds along with bassist Christian McBride and guitarist Nick Cassarino.
