This self-taught artist wants his “experiments” to “set your imagination free.” Childers, a musician and retired music teacher from Brandon, Vermont, reimagines found objects and junk into playful humorous works with vibrant colors and a touch of the fantastic. His exhibition, "Bits and Pieces," on view at the Brandon Artist Guild through March 28, includes sculptures and assemblages that take the form of creatures, musical creations and mobiles, as well as paintings and drawings.
