Fly Fishing Festival

This weekend, the American Museum of Fly Fishing is doing its part to honor the tradition of angling with a full-blown Fly Fishing Festival. The sport is imbued with more art than athleticism, as evidenced by the often-elaborate flies that anglers tie to lure their prey from lakes and rivers. Newbies and veteran fly-tiers alike can learn tips and tricks from experts in the craft of tying flies in workshops. You can even get schooled in how to make the official fly of Vermont, the Governor Aiken bucktail! Food-truck fare, local vendors, casting demos and free museum admission all day sweeten the catch.
