As soon as the turkey has been cleared from the Thanksgiving table, St. Albans residents enter full-scale Christmas mode, thanks to the Festival of Trees. Now in its 10th year, this full week of family-friendly festivities kicks off on Saturday with a tree-lighting ceremony in Taylor Park. Here, friends and neighbors gather for caroling, refreshments, a pet memorial, a visit from Santa Claus and, of course, the illumination of yuletide boughs.
