'East Germany in Mozambique, 1979–1990'

Between 1979 and 1990, East German teachers, engineers and doctors moved to Mozambique as part of the Friendship Treaty with the German Democratic Republic. German scholar Katrin Bahr of UMass Amherst discusses how they brought not only expertise but also cameras, providing a glimpse into life in post-independence Mozambique.
