Drag Story Hour

Happy Essex Pride! Join Vermont local drag queens, Katniss Everqueer and Emoji Nightmare, at Phoenix Books Essex's Drag Story Hour! Katniss Everqueer and Emoji Nightmare are two of Vermont's favorite performers who will be reading stories centered around individuality, activism, gender, creativity, and social responsibility. Join us at Phoenix Books in Essex for a celebration of being who you are with a story hour that is sure to captivate audiences of all ages! Drag Story Hour is a national non-profit organization that aims to celebrate storytelling and the magic of books through the drag medium. The goal is to champion authentic self-expression, creativity, imagination, and LGBTQ+ identity through a joyful space available to those of all ages! The Vermont Chapter of DSH was created by Emoji Nightmare and Nikki Champagne in 2017. In 2021, Emoji joined the national board of directors for DSH.
