Strap in for a boisterous performance of traditional French Canadian music by the Québec folk group De Temps Antan. The three-person powerhouse puts its original spin on traditional modes of the past, and takes audiences along for a wild ride as it does. Expect close harmonies on fiddle, guitar, accordion and bouzouki — and fiendish rhythms that make it hard to stay seated. Called “Honkytonk Québécois folklore with lots of stomp” by Popmatters, the group gets toes tapping on the Dartmouth Green on Thursday.
