Bird is the Word
Carl Broemel is best known as the guitarist of My Morning Jacket. But he’s been an in demand player for more than 15 years, having worked with the likes of Bobby Bare Jr. and Delta Spirit, among others. He’s also an accomplished solo artist. His 2010 solo debut, All Birds Say, was laidback collection folk rock that wooed critics with its unassuming charm. That included the scribes at Rolling Stone who opined that Broemel, “writes hooks that sneak up on you with simple singsong melodies.” Broemel plays the Higher Ground Showcase Lounge on Tuesday, June 14.
