Cabinet, Iron Eyes Cody

Technically, Cabinet are a Pennsylvania-based bluegrass outfit. However, vocalist and banjo player Pappy Biondo recently settled in central Vermont. The band’s latest live album, This Is Cabinet: Set II, was partially recorded at Club Metronome in Burlington. We’re not sure that makes them local. But there’s little doubt Vermont audiences will dig the band’s genre-hopping take on mountain music, Green, Blue, Appalachian or otherwise. Cabinet play the Higher Ground Showcase Lounge in South Burlington on Saturday, January 31, with Iron Eyes Cody. Earlier in the day, they’ll give an in-store performance at Speaking Volumes in Burlington.
