A new chapter opens at this year’s Bookstock, Vermont’s annual worship of words in the quaint and colorful town of Woodstock. Bibliophiles from far and wide plot a pilgrimage to the premiere place for print, page and storytelling to enjoy a stacked weekend of workshops, sales, talks and exhibits. The bookish festival hosts a crop of acclaimed writers, including L. Annette Binder, Marjan Kamali, Robert Pinsky, Peter Canellos, Alison Espach and Steve Kemp — as well as used and rare book tents and live music. Mouthwatering munchies from local purveyors such as the Green Bunny and the Village Butcher make for an epic denouement.
