Working primarily with vintage found photos, the Barre-based collage artist gives new life to the photographed. “By reinventing the portrait,” Tasiopoulos says, “I aim to disjoint my subjects from an antiquated identity, allowing them to transcend the constraints of time and place.” These new entities are distinctly Tasiopoulos-ian, fragmented and living among repetitive geometries.
