'Absence: Seeing and Unseeing the Fleming's Collection'
Large text labels throughout the museum appear in place of artwork that had been on view for decades and whose subject matter or background was deemed hurtful to members of the community. Instead of filling the spaces with new artworks immediately, staff have left them as intentional signs of their commitments to transparency and reckoning.
