Purple: A Tribute to Prince featuring Craig Mitchell — Many people know Craig Mitchell as one of Burlington’s top club DJs. In fact, he’s a multiple Daysies victor for best club DJ. In addition to dropping hot beats on the ones and twos, Mitchell is one of the biggest Prince fans in town — and he takes his love for the dearly departed Purple One to the next level. Mitchell fronts Purple: A Tribute to Prince, for which he enlists some of the finest musical talent in the area as his backing band. Together, they bring to life sizzling renditions of the artist’s megahits, such as “Purple Rain,” “I Wanna Be Your Lover” and “Little Red Corvette.” Not only does Mitchell embody Prince’s onstage charisma, he’s got the pipes to back it up.
