Humane Society of Chittenden County — Here, kitty, kitty. Doggies and bunnies, too. Located at the aptly named Kindness Court in Burlington, the HSCC serves Chittenden and Grand Isle counties and takes in upward of 1,000 animals a year. On any given day, the organization is caring for 100 abandoned pets — and preparing them for new best friends. HSCC relies solely on donations and does not receive state or federal funding. Adopt a buddy!
