Why Read Blogs?

I missed UVM prof Richard Parent talking about blogs this week, but I see that he's posted an outline on his blog, Digital Digressions v2.0. I interviewed Parent during the fall of '05 for a back to school story, but haven't spoken to him in a long while. Our food writer, Suzanne, knows him through her husband. During our editorial meeting last week, she mentioned that Parent once conducted a class in Second Life. Interesting.

His post on his talk is actually a pretty useful basic blog resource. Chris Graff should have asked him to be on Vermont This Week in my place to talk about the blogosphere.
