Online Media Notebook: Andrew Sullivan's moving

Hey, Andrew Sullivan is moving to Time.com. I check his blog frequently because I enjoy his mostly conservative but independent slant, and because he's a durn good writer. This is an interesting bit of news because he's heretofore been independent, and now Time has wooed him into their mainstream media fold. So it's a story of the MSM embracing blogging.

It's sort of like how Seven Days wooed me to their website — Sullivan has long been a Time contributor — though it's certainly on a grander scale. After all, he gets a bazillion hits a day, and I get maybe 100 or so, if I'm lucky.

Also, I wanted to amend something I wrote last week. My esteemed editor Pamela Polston tells me that she does in fact read a few blogs, and reviews both Seven Days blogs each week. She also says she spends a portion of her non-work time online. I mention this because last week I said I wasn't sure if either of my eds spend much non-work time online, and P-Po does. I stand corrected!
